Тема. Мій минулий робочий день.
Цілі уроку.
1.Практичні. Навчити розповідати про минулий робочий день в опорі на схему. Удосконалювати навичку вживання ГС у Past Indefinite Tense в усному мовленні на рівні фрази. Розвивати вміння аудіювати текст, ігноруючи незнайомі слова. Розвивати уміння вести групову бесіду.
2.Освітня. Сформувати уявлення в учнів про нове граматичне явище – Past Indefinite Tense.
3. Розвиваюча.  Розвивати самостійність у праці, уяву учнів в умовах гри, драматизації тексту та роботи в парах.
4. Виховна.  Прищеплювати любов до праці.
Обладнання. Роздатковий матеріал (картки, текст для читання, таблиці), малюнки дітей, ляльки, ширма, магнітофон, фонозапис.

II. Lexical warm-up
1. T: Ok. You are right! So to speak about last working day we have to revise some words and word-combinations of our topic.
T: Do you like to play games?
Ps: Yes, we do!
T: Then let’s play game “A step”. Two players will compete. You will start from that place and one-by-one tell us one word or word-combination on our topic on each step. Who will go farther will be the winner Let’s start.

2. T: To speak correctly I want to know if you’ve learned two forms of the irregular verbs. Now join 4 groups A, B, C, D and find the pair of each irregular verb. Be attentive, you may also find out regular verbs. Write them down into your exercise-books. (Див. тут)

III. Writing activities
T: Now we shall work with your text-books. Open them on page 143. Look at the exercise 8. What is the main task of this exercise?

1. Teacher’s questions to the children’s painting (3-5).
2. T: Let’s play your favorite game “Merry- go-round” to revise  general questions on this topic. Let’s join 2 groups A and B. A-group-children will stand in the middle circle, B-group-children will stand in front of them face-to-face. Children in the middle circle will stand, others will go round and every pupil has both to ask the same question all the time and try to answer all his or her friends’ questions. Let’s start.

Reading
It was Sunday. Kate got up at seven o’clock, went to the window and opened it. The sky was blue. The weather was fine. Kate did her morning exercises, made her bed and had her breakfast.
After breakfast Kate and her father went to the park. In the park they sat down under the tree. Kate saw many birds and many beautiful flowers in the park.
Kate and her father read books. Then Kate’s father told her a very interesting story about animals. Kate liked the story very much.
Then they gathered flowers and went to the river. Kate and her father bathed in the river. At two o’clock Kate and her father came back home and had dinner. After dinner Kate helped her mother about the house. She cleaned her room and washed up. In the evening she watched TV. Kate went to bed at nine o’clock.

T: Now your classmates will act short dialogues, you will guess when it all happened: in the morning, in the afternoon or in the evening.
1. Mother: Johnny, I left two pieces of cake in the cupboard this morning. I see there is only one piece there. Where is the other? Can you tell me?
Johnny: It was to dark, Mummy, I couldn’t see the other piece.
2. Mother: It is 9 o’clock and you are not in bed yet? What will father say when he comes home?
Henry: He’ll say: “Supper! Supper! What’s for supper?”
3. Teacher: Your Ukrainian exercises are always better than your English exercises.
Pupil: That is because my mother does not know English.

The children played in the park. They ran in the park. They were happy.
The dog saw the children. The dog ran to the children. Nick took a stick. The dog saw the stick. It took the stick and ran to the pond.
