Урок 2
ТЕМА.  Мій останній візит до кінотеатру.

Цілі уроку.  Активізувати у мові учнів ЛО теми: “Відвідування кінотеатру”. Вчити вилучати інформацію з тексту на відомому лексичному матеріалі. Розвивати навички техніки читання та літературного перекладу. Вчити логічно, послідовно висловлювати думки про відвідування кінотеатру на основі прочитаного тексту та спілкування у формі діалогу обміну думками. Виховувати позитивні риси культури поведінки у ситуації: “Похід до кінотеатру”.

Дидактичне оснащення уроку: таблиця: “Mind Map”, роздаткові картки: “True or False”.

Тип уроку: чисто-мовленнєвий уpок.

Хід уроку

 I. Початок уроку
1. Організаційний момент. (0,5’)

T. – Good morning, children. I am glad to see you at our lesson. I hope you are well. My best wishes.

2. Мовленнєва зарядка. (5’)

T. – When I was going to our classroom I met my old English friend. He told me a very sad story. He wanted to see a new film at our local cinema, but he couldn’t get any tickets for that comedy. He even tried to get an extra ticket at the cinema door, but he was not lucky. I know some of you have seen this film. Please, let him come into our classroom and be present at our lesson, because today we shall speak about our last visit to the cinema. And I think, if our English friend listens to your dialogues and reading he will forget his unpleasant visit and he’ll feel better.

P1. – Ok. We are glad to meet our new English friend.

Mr. Tomas – It is so kind of you to invite me. Your teacher told me you liked to go to the cinema, didn’t you?

P2. – You are right. When we have our free time we try to go to see a new film.

Mr. Tomas – I see, more and more people prefer to stay at home and watch TV. How do you like to see films better, at a cinema or on TV?

P3. – We are great cinemagoers. Some films make you feel interested, other make you feel bored.

II. Основна частина

1. Розвиток навичок діалогічного мовлення. (10’)

T. – Children, we shall dramatize our dialogues to show our English friend what topics in a plat or in a film or what kind of performance may make you feel bored (interested).

T. – Your dialogues are rather good. I see different films make different emotions: some of them are exciting and very interesting, some are used to describe a film that may not be very serious or important but is enjoyable; some of them include lost of scenes with fighting and death, etc.

2. Розвиток навичок читання і літературного перекладу.

1) Pre-Reading Activities. Етап підготовки до читання тексту, ст.70, впр.31  (2,5’)

Mr. Tomas – Think about, what makes a film of good quality? Draw your own “Mind Map” into your copybooks. (Використовую таблицю. Див. тут)

T. – Are serious films always worth seeing?

2) While-Reading Activities. Етап читання тексту та виконання вправ під час читання.

а) Переглядове читання тексту з метою отримання загального уявлення про його зміст (skimming). (2’)

T. – Look through the text and say if both of young people enjoy the film.

б) Читання тексту з метою максимального, повного та точного розуміння всієї інформації, що міститься в тексті та критичного її осмислення (scanning). (2’)

Read the text again and say if the sentences are false or true
1.     There was a good picture at our local cinema last Sunday.

2.     We arrived there at 7 o’clock, in a quarter of an hour before the newsreel.

3.     In the foyer we saw the tables with different fruits and vegetables.

4.     Our seats were just in the center of the hall.

5.     The sound equipment was not good.

6.     After the newsreel we saw the cartoons.

7.     It was a Hollywood film about college life.

8.     In the picture the students did everything but study.

9.     The film showed how American students really live.

10.   My friend saw many pictures and she said that they did not present a true picture of America life.

3) Post-Reading Activities. Контроль розуміння тексту та виконання післятекстових кумунікативних вправ.        (5’)

a)     T. – Answer the questions of ex.33, p.71

b)    T. – Read the last paragraph of the text “Going to the cinema”.

T. – Do you agree or disagree with the girl’s opinion about Americans films.

3. Розвиток навичків монологічного мовлення. (7’)

Mr. Tomas – Discuss a film, which you have seen last time. Say what it is about and why you like it so much.

T. – You may use the following phrases (написані на дошці).

–         This film is an adventure story.

–          This film is very well made.

–          The film has a lot of music.

–          This film was a success.

–          The performances are excellent.

–          The film is very sad.

–          I only half enjoyed the film.

4. Розвиток аудитивних навичок. (7’)

T. – My dear friends, have you ever dreamt that you are a famous film star. If so, it will be interesting for you to listent to the text about such a filmstar.

I shall read the text “Filmstar” only once. You have to listen to it very attentively. After my reading you have to choose the right answers to the questions.

1) Лексична робота. Етап підготовки до слухання тексту. New words (написані на дошці). Пояснюю.

T. – Do you know what the following words mean?

–         premiere – прем’єра;

–         had been cut out – були вирізані.

2) While-Listening Activities. Етап слухання тексту.

Filmstar

     Pauline loved the cinema and wanted to become a filmstar. When she was twelve she sad to her parents, “I want to be a filmstar”.

But it was not easy. After she left school, she got into films – not as a star – she become one of the people in a crowd scene.

One evening the man at the agency called her up and said, “There’s a job for you tomorrow, Pauline. Come at eight o’clock. You’ll be a secretary”.

Pauline reached the studios at a quarter to eight. She waited three hours before they came to her scene.

The scene was very short: the star, a famous American actor, came and stopped in front of where Pauline was sitting.

“I want you to look at Harry, when he comes in”, explained the director, “and say, Mr.Marlowe, there’s a call for you! Can you say that?”

Pauline said she could and did everything the director told her to do. The director was very pleased, and the star smiled at her. “That’s great”, said the director. “Thanks”. Pauline was very happy that evening.

Some months later she booked to seats for the premiere and went to see her film with Michael, her boy friend.

It was a good film but there was no Pauline in it. Her scene together with many other unimportant scenes had been cut out.

1.    Підсумок уроку.

Mr. Tomas – Thanks a lot for your speaking at this lesson. I’ve almost forgotten my last unpleasant visit to the cinema. I hope, my presence has not made you feel bored.

T. – At home you have to write a composition about your last going to the cinema. Use the information of the exercise 31, p.70 (Пояснюю).
